| The Online Trader - Latest release version | |||||||
|
Latest software version 4.0 (build 90) What's new We are continuously adding features to and improving The Online Trader. The latest contains the following new features.
General improvements Live ranking in Market and Composite Window The Market Window and Composite Window now supports live sorting for each column. Drag-and-drop improvements In earlier versions of the program you could drag-and-drop a single symbol between windows and lists. This has now been extended so that you can select a block of symbols and drag-and-drop them on a list:
You can drop a list of symbols on the List page of a Market or Composite window or on a Basket Trading window (to automatically create basket orders for each dropped symbol). Ranking in the Composite window While you have always been able to rank your custom built lists in the Composite window simply by double-clicking on the +/- columns, we have now added a separate Ranking page. This page ranks the winners, losers and highest turnover symbols taken from your custom list. Icons on tab pages We have made the windows containing multiple pages a little friendlier by including graphical icons next to the next for most pages. Here are some examples. Caption buttons By default, each window now contains three new buttons on the window caption. These buttons are short-cuts for existing commands and they show the current on or off state for each command.
These features are also available as right-click commands; Right-click and Edit | Link this Window, Properties | Pin Window and Properties | Always on top, respectively. If you would rather not see these caption buttons (and on Windows Vista, their presence will turn off the class effect in the caption), you can turned them off from the Tools | User Interface settings dialog. Orderbook improvements The two summary lines in the orderbook have been extended to contain information about the VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price), High and Low prices.
The same information is available in the orderbook that is embedded inside the Order Entry window. You can turn the Summary and Summary2 lines of the orderbook on and off using the right-click menu. Trading halt alerts Some exchanges send out logical matching halt and suspended messages on instruments when trading in those instruments have been temporarily disabled. These messages are now displayed as trading halt alerts – automatically popping up the Alerts page of the Communication Status window. Chains In version 4.0 Infront there is possible to open pre-defined lists for certain markets included FTSE 100, CAC 40, Nasdaq 100, NYSE 100 etc. In addition Infront has defined chains for a selection of indices including European, Nordic and North American Indices. The functionality appears under a new Tab called "Chains": From Stockholm SE, Stocks
From London SE, UK Stocks
From the Composite Window
Index Constituents For certain indices there will be possible to drill down the constituents from an index.
Market pages Market pages has been improved to support color changes, double clicking and optimized for width. Exampel with Infront - Sweden Composite:
